*Clock, Watch, Digital watch are devices that shows time or measure time .


*measuring time in hours , minutes  and seconds


 
This is a clock . It has 2 hands. The longer hand shows the minutes. The dial of a clock is divided into 5 equal parts. Each part is a minute. When minute hand completes one circle the hour hand moves by 1. That is an hour. The shorter hand shows the hours.

1 hour = 60 minutes

In the clock given above the longer hand is at 12.Shorter hand is at 9. The time is  9 [9 O'clock]. We can write 

9 O'clock as 9:00. Time taken by the hour hand[shorter hand] to move from 1 division to another is 1 hour.

The hour hand takes 12 hours to complete one rotation.

Time taken by the minute hand[longer hand] to move from the 1 division to another is a minute.


The minute hand take 60 minutes to complete one

 rotation.

Second is used to represent time that is less than a minute.

The thin long needle of the clock is the second hand. It is
60 seconds when the second hand makes a full rotation.

60 seconds is 1 minute
60 seconds =1minute
