Hundred and Above


     Study of 

mathematics is the 

study of the 

numbers. If the 

mathematics is a 

language, the nubers


are its alphabets. 

The most important 

use of numbers is 

counting. The 

numbers 1, 2, 3 ... 

are called counting 

numbers. Counting 

numbers are formed

 by using the digits 

0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9. 

When we insert a

 digit in a number 

that digit get a 

value.


Place Value


The value depending

 of the place of the 

digit is called place 

value. The same 

digit can have 

different place 

value,according to 

its place or position 

in the number.

Example: The 

number [52] place 

value of '5' is ten. 

The number[25] 

place value of '5' is 

one.
