Equal shares
*Division is repeated subtraction of the same number
*Division is also equal grouping and equal sharing.
*The number which gets divided in called divident
*The number which divides the divident is called divisor
*The result of division is called quotient
*The number which is left undivided after division is called Remainder
*The symbol for division is ➗

7÷2[7divided by 2]
7 ÷ 2 =3, 1➝Reminder

* For every division fact, there is a related multiplication fact
ex-10÷5=2[2X5=10]

*A number can be divided in many ways
ex: The number 12
12÷2=6
12 ÷6=2
12÷ 4=3
12÷3=4
12÷12=1
12÷1=12
*When any number is divided by 1, the quotient is the number itself
ex -8÷ 1=8
10 ÷ 1 = 10
100 ÷1=100
* If we divided by Zero (o)by any number, the result is zero only.
ex- 0 ÷8=0
